Thomas Pletschko, clinical psychologist working in the department of pediatrics and adolescent medicine at Medical University Vienna follows closely the ABILITI project and makes important scientific contributions to the project’s content. He describes the concept of “sense of belonging” of chronically ill pupils and highlights how telepresence systems like the avatar AV1 can help overcoming social isolation.
He expresses high expectations on the potential of the developing practical ABILITI tools.
